Position: System Administrator
Location: Hyderabad 
Description: 
The candidate should be capable of working with the AIT’s growing technology environment and networking group for the Indian operations.

Main responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Evaluating user needs and system functionality.
• Ensuring that ICS facilities meet the needs of individuals and projects.
• Planning, developing and implementing the ICS budget and obtaining competitive prices from suppliers, where appropriate, to ensure cost effectiveness.
• Scheduling upgrades and security backups/recovery of hardware and software systems.
• Researching and installing new systems.
• Ensuring the smooth running of all ICS systems, Network Security/LAN/WAN/Internet/Email administration, including anti-virus software and print services.
• Ensuring that software licensing laws are followed.
• Providing secure access to the network for the remote user.
• Ensuring the security of data from internal and external attack.
• Providing users with appropriate support and advice.
• Managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems.
• Keeping up to date with the latest technologies.
• Configuration, maintenance and administration of Windows 2K3/Windows XP administration, MS Back office products/servers, MS SQL Server, VPN and firewall administration.
• Ensure Source Code control and application development support.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• MCSE 2000+ certification or equivalent knowledge of Windows server platforms.
• Hardware configuration of switches, servers and PC’s.
• Installation and Administration of Firewall, VPN, VOIP and Proxy servers.
• Experience in Backup/Recovery software’s.
• Candidate must possess good troubleshooting skills, primarily on the Windows® platform.
• Prior experience in configuring Web servers.
• Good understanding of network security is essential.
• Knowledge on maintenance of databases.
• Knowledge in WMI and shell scripts is an added advantage.
• Prior experience to remotely support Desktops and basics of Networking/Infrastructure components.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Experience:
2 – 4 years of System Admn. Experience in an IT company.

Education:

• BE (Electronics or Computers) or related degree
• MCSE/CCNA Certified preferred.
