Jobrole:Staff Hardware Development Engineer( IRC #402)

Job Responsibilities:

• Specify, design, and verify complex microprocessor based IP cores (CPUs, Microprocessor Peripherals, Communication Cores, Memory Interfaces, and Infrastructure) using VHDL and/or verilog that support CPU based FPGAs
• Work with software engineers to integrate device drivers and verify IP cores on real hardware with test / application code
• Advise management and marketing of project and product timelines and schedules
• Work with marketing to target core development and to write technical documentation

Job Requirements:

• BSEE / BSCE
• Design experience with VHDL or Verilog, synthesis tools, and EDA tools
• Experience with microprocessor and associate bus protocols
• Experience working with software engineers for HW/SW integration
• Experience with microprocessor applications and designs
• Experience with processor system design
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and teamwork skills

Preferred Requirements:

• MSEE / MSCE
• Experience with FPGA architecture knowledge and design techniques
• Experience in networking, communications, or other target application areas
• Experience writing software (drive drivers, test and application code) using C, C++, or JAVA
• Experience with Perl and Tcl
